CESAR, the Center for Substance Abuse and Research, is seeking a Research Assistant Intern for the upcoming Fall 2012 semester.
Position: Undergraduate Internship (unpaid, for credit)
Title: Research Assistant
Responsibilities:
-Assist with two research studies: Prince George's County Community Assessments and the Offender Populations Urine Screening Program (OPUS).
-Collect data and information for environmental scans
-Assist with the development of an interview instrument for key stakeholder interviews
-Conduct key stakeholder interviews
-Assist with the development of data tables and charts for community profiles
-Assist with data analysis of urinary results
-Assist with the production of tables and graphics displaying urinalysis results
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Advanced organizational skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Comfortable making telephone and in-person contacts with community representatives
-Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
-Experience using mapping software
-Experience working with community organizations and/or social service/health/criminal justice providers
