The Social and Health Organizational Research and Evaluation (SHORE) Program has an immediate opening for a Social and Health Organizational Analyst who will provide integral coordination and support to different research studies. SHORE’s research projects include qualitative and quantitative studies of organizations’ systems and approaches to implement public health and health care programs and policies. This position will be located in Waltham, MA, Washington DC, or Research Triangle Park, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Overall coordination of internal and external communications and meetings, including scheduling meetings, development of meeting agendas, detailed-note taking, and further follow up as necessary, as well as drafting progress reports and monitoring achievement of project milestones.

• Conducting literature reviews and environmental scans

• Assisting with the coordination and planning of data collection activities (i.e. site visits, focus groups, in-depth-interviews and/or or surveys and questionnaires)

• Assisting with qualitative data collection and analysis (i.e. interview and focus group note taking, coding qualitative data)

• Designing, constructing, using and maintaining large databases of moderate complexity using Excel or other database software

• Performing statistical analyses using Excel, SAS or STATA

• Interpreting statistical output, creating tables and graphs from statistical output and assisting in writing results based on statistical output

• Assisting in data analysis and report writing (i.e. topline reports, key findings reports, presentations, etc.)

• Assisting in the development of proposals providing support as needed (i.e. gathering background information, writing proposal’ sections, etc)

• Traveling to conduct fieldwork (interviews and focus groups)
