Paid Research Assistant Position - Center for Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC)

We are conducting several simulations during the fall semester focused on further unearthing how knowledge sharing and shared leadership (as opposed to a formal, appoint leader) influence team performance. The majority of this work will take place in a lab and involve running and supporting team research simulations.

Responsibilities: Research assistant’s responsibilities might include (based on interests and expertise):

  • Running of lab experiments 
  • Analysis of interview themes / qualitative data coding 
  • Quantitative data entry and data management 
  • Support with survey design and development 
  • Weekly team meetings 
  • Support for the development of training, experimental intervention and organizational development materials 
Ideal Qualifications: An ideal fit would be a motivated undergraduate studying psychology or management student who is considering a career in organizational research or academia and is interested in gaining experience in the research process. The ideal candidate for this job will also have:
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. 
  • High ethical standards and vested interest in understanding the research process. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general comfort with a variety of technology. 
  • Ability to do detailed work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work a minimum of 6 hours per week 
  • Strong quantitative skills a bonus. 
Pay rate, length of role, and exact average time commitment per week to be negotiated, estimating $10-13/hour (based on experience).
