United States Secret Service Site Visit

The University Career Center and The President’s Promise is sponsoring a site visit to the U. S. Secret Service Training Center, Beltsville, MD as well as its Headquarters located in Washington, DC. The U.S. Secret Service is inviting UMD undergraduates with Junior or Senior standing who have an interest in working for the U.S. Secret Service in the following fields.
• Law enforcement  
• Psychology/research  
• Science  
• Information technology  
• Financial  
   
The site visit will begin at 8:15 a.m. and conclude at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. 


Transportation will be provided from the UMCP campus and you must be available to participate in the entire day. The visit will include visual demonstrations (ex. canine and defensive driving), as well as presentations from the U.S. Secret Services’ Security Clearance Department, Personnel Department, Forensic Science Division, and Protective Intelligence Division.


There are a limited number of seats available for this opportunity and seats will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. You will receive a confirmation email with additional details as well as a request to furnish information required for a background screening if we have not reached capacity.
