Be a client and earn $50 for your summer

We are looking for undergraduate students who are willing to act as a client for at least two helping skills sessions (or up to four sessions) conducted by master’s students from the NavyLEAD cohort. The dates and times of the sessions will be every Monday from July 18th to August 8, for one-hour between 10am and 12noon. For every individual who commits to all four helping sessions, you will be paid $50, or you can earn $25 for participating in two sessions. This is a great opportunity to earn some extra cash and receive guidance and counseling from our helpers-in-training.  Navy LEAD is a one-year Master's program, with courses at UMD and the United States Naval Academy that prepares officers for the responsibilities as Company Officers at the Academy and as leaders throughout their careers. All students have received basic helping skills training and are invested in developing skills and expertise in counseling with the college-age population.

If you are interested, please contact Kayi Hui via email at kayihui@umd.edu with your name, telephone number, and your availability for any of the Mondays between July 18 and August 8. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
